Summer is moving fast, and it’s been a full and rewarding season here at the Idaho FFA Foundation. All four of our golf tournaments are in the books – we had beautiful weather, great people, and a lot of fun. A big thank you to our title sponsors and everyone who came out to support Idaho FFA. We couldn’t do this without you!
In this edition of The Corduroy Connection, you’ll find highlights from State CDEs, our raffle winners, the launch of our Gift of Blue program, and a first look at the new Sporting Clay Tournament coming this fall. We’re excited to try something new and hope you’ll join us.
It’s also been a big summer for students. Six of the many FFA members attended Washington Leadership Conference this summer with nearly $10,000 in scholarship support from the Idaho FFA Foundation. Our spring scholarship recipients are preparing to start their college journeys this fall with the help of over $80,000 in scholarships. FFA members from across the state are relishing in their new skills and friends from attending Summer Outdoor Leadership Retreat (SOLR) in Donnelly a few weeks ago. Many students are gearing up for their local fair or taking pride in their new ribbons, buckles, and trophies. Our State Officer team has been on the road attending events and helping spread the message of FFA throughout Idaho.
Behind the scenes, we’re rolling out our new five-year strategic plan and continuing to strengthen the foundation that supports Idaho FFA. We’re looking closely at how we grow student opportunities, support agriculture educators, and tell the Idaho FFA story. We’re building tools that help us better serve students and teachers, connecting with industry partners, and laying the groundwork for some exciting upcoming events. There’s a lot happening – and it’s all with agriculture education at the center.

We’re excited to launch our first-ever Sporting Clay Tournament on October 1 at the Caldwell Gun Club. This new event brings together supporters from across Idaho to enjoy a day outdoors while raising funds for FFA programs, student travel, and classroom resources.

From this year’s raffle, over $50,000 will go to local FFA chapters from their ticket sales, and $28,000 will go to very deserving scholarship recipients next Spring towards their post-secondary education. Results from Moscow CDEs, June 3-6, 2025
Idaho FFA had a strong group of competitors in Moscow this year. Read about which chapters scored highest and earned their spot to compete at the National FFA Convention in November. Thanks to all the supporters who make it possible to offer travel awards to the winning chapters!
Consider supporting the young leaders of Idaho FFA as they travel to Indianapolis, Indiana this October. We aim to give local chapters $400 per competitor. Every donation adds up to help with travel costs!

Give the Gift of Blue Program
Last year, the Idaho FFA Foundation gifted 159 corduroy blue jackets to deserving students across Idaho. Jacket donations are $125 each and help support students starting their FFA journey! We are kindly seeking donations by September 19, 2025 for next school year. Give the Gift of Blue
