From June 3–6, 2025, the University of Idaho campus in Moscow welcomed more than 1,100 high school students from 66 FFA chapters across the state for the annual Idaho FFA State Career Development Events (CDEs). These events are a cornerstone of the Idaho FFA Association’s mission to develop leadership, career skills, and agricultural knowledge among young people.

Over the course of four days, students competed in a wide variety of events designed to test their skills in real-world agricultural, business, and technical scenarios. Events included agronomy, livestock evaluation, floriculture, agricultural mechanics, marketing, and more—each aligned with essential industry standards and supported by agricultural professionals and educators.

“The State CDEs are more than a competition—they’re a celebration of agricultural education and the future of Idaho’s agricultural industry,” said Idaho FFA Executive Director Melissa Sherman. “These students demonstrated incredible skill, passion, and dedication throughout the week.”
